Hey everyone,
I've been spending a lot of time recently tweaking and optimizing local large language models (mostly through LM Studio) instead of just relying on standard APIs. I mainly use them to build highly detailed, multi-paragraph prompts for image generation specifically focusing on cinematic scenes and anime-inspired character designs.
There’s obviously a massive advantage to running models locally if you want absolute privacy, custom parameters, or to bypass the strict filters you get with cloud-based platforms. But balancing that with the hardware requirements and generation speed can be a hassle compared to just pinging an API.
I'm curious what the rest of the community here is running for their projects:

I'm curious what the rest of the community here is running for their projects:
- Are you strictly using paid/free APIs for the convenience?
- Or have you set up a dedicated local rig for uncensored/private generation?
