NSFWQueen of pop singer Madonna had a successful concert way back in the 80's in the Philippines and it was one of the highest gross ticket sales in Asia. At that time, Samboy Lim was also a popular PBA player with his unique basketball style and talents that brought his team to a lot of championship games. Madonna and Samboy's love affair all started from a simple photo op in the dressing room backstage. Lim was introduced by his friend to Madonna, the producer of Madonna's concert (Take note this is not G.Toengi, she was just a baby girl at that time). Madonna was so friendly to fans with no boundaries; she was very happy accommodating her fans, taking pictures with those who truly supported her career.
According to a lot of "Marites" back then, of all the Filipino fans who got an autograph from Madonna, it was only Samboy Lim who captured Madonna's attention. Madonna admired the "chinito eyes" and respectful behavior of the former PBA star. The big gossip at that time was that Madonna decided to extend her stay for another week in Manila just to spend time with Samboy, to know more about the PBA legend, and got really interested in why he was called "The Skywalker" by his fans and commentators. Samboy and Madonna were always seen together at the five-star hotel in Manila where Madonna stayed, and people thought they were just friends. When Madonna returned to the US, their illicit affair continued, and they had a long-distance relationship, but no one from the press or their close friends confirmed their real situation. The only confirmation of their genuine love affair was that Samboy's name was mentioned several times in the lyrics of Madonna's greatest hit song "Material Girl."
"Samboy kiss me
Samboy hug me"
