Is it common or uncommon for people to be sexually attracted to someone who isn't conventionally attractive? Yep. That's normal. That is simillar to someone's craving for something like bagoong or atsara. We can't really say these foods are delicious but they somehow satisfy us. Sometimes we long for something different but not too different to the extent that they become gross. It's actually pleasant and pleasurable.

Thank you, I like your example. Maybe it's because we're too caught up with our ideal preferences that when we encounter a different aesthetic it's surprisingly pleasant, plus conventional beauty has become monotonous and cookie cutter but that isn't a bad thing too.
