This story is from when I was 19, fresh out of college. It feels like forever ago, but I still remember every detail because it was my wild introduction to the “real world” after school. True story from my short time working at a call center. A little buildup, some spice, and a shocking moment. Let me know in the comments if you want Part 2. 😏

In 2010, I graduated with a nursing degree in Manila. I took the nursing board exam in July, and while waiting for the results (which felt like torture), I applied to a call center that handled technical support for a game. The company doesn’t exist anymore, but back then it was full of guys, mostly gamers, tech nerds, from young fresh grads to middle-aged tito types. Picture an office with endless rows of cubicles, gaming consoles at every corner, headsets everywhere, the constant beep of incoming calls, and the smell of instant coffee.

During orientation week, I instantly became the center of attention. But let’s be real I’m just average-looking. Nothing special. The reason? There were hardly any women in the entire floor. Maybe 90% dudes. So any young, fresh-faced girl straight out of college was treated like a prize. Guys were thirsty AF. Every time I walked to the pantry, heads turned, whispers started, random “Hi, newbie!” comments. Flattering at first, but quickly weird.

Training was just one week. We played the console to get hands-on experience. It was a pretty chill job. Fixing game loading issues, controller problems, account glitches, easy for me since my nephew had one at home, so I already knew the basics. Once I hit the production floor, the staring never stopped. Every shift, eyes followed me. Whenever I needed supervisor help or Tier 2 escalation, guys would race to be the one to assist me, then flirt before I could even transfer the caller. “Hey, what’s your next shift? Let me buy you coffee.” Stuff like that. And it wasn’t just guys my age (late teens/early 20s), some were way older, old enough to be my father. Yikes! The whole industry felt so off. No boundaries at all.

It was only a 2-month contract, so I kept telling myself just endure it. Once the board results come out, I’m gone and never looking back.

Then one weekend morning, I got a text from an unknown number. “Hi B, musta?” I asked who it was. “J from work.” Let’s call him J. The only Jake I knew was our Operations Manager, the OM. Tall, handsome, gym-built, killer smile. All the girls in our department had a crush on him. But rumor was he was married with two kids. So why the hell was he texting me? I asked what he needed. Instead of replying, he called. Super casual. “How are you?” I answered politely, “I’m okay po.” (I was respectful, he was a boss.) Then out of nowhere he asked “Do you have plans this weekend? Want to hang out at my condo? We can have drinks if you like.” I was shookt. We barely ever spoke at work. I was just an agent, he was the OM. Why would he think inviting me to his condo was okay? I politely said I had plans, and he replied, “Maybe next time then.” I asked how he got my number. “I asked your TL for it.” I was even more shookt. Why would my team lead just hand it over without asking me?

Monday at work, after our team huddle, I pulled my TL aside. “TL, tinawagan ako ni OM nung weekend and invited me to his condo.” I expected concern or at least surprise. Instead he just laughed it off and said “trip ka daw nya kasi.” Like it was no big deal! Shouldn’t he be protecting his agents? I was only 19 and super naive, so I didn’t know what to do. I told my two female teammates (we were only three girls on the team). They weren’t shocked at all. “Girl, that’s normal for OM. He’s married but has multiple baby mamas on the side.” What kind of office culture was this?

Fast forward to one weekend. Team building! I thought it would be games, icebreakers, maybe some karaoke. Nope. Call center team buildings back then were different. We went to a resort in Antipolo, nice pool, cottages, fresh mountain air away from the city. Our team had about 20 people, but only three girls: me, Ate (the older teammate who always looked out for me like a big sister), and another girl around 25 who was more, how should i say this? outgoing.

We started ihaw-ihaw, kulitan, swimming, music. Then the alcohol came out. Beer, hard drinks, shots. The “games” were all drinking games—Never Have I Ever, Kings Cup, dares that got rowdier by the minute. The guys were hyped, especially since there were so few girls. Ate was my protector, whenever a guy tried to get too close or push shots on me, she’d step in. “6ag0 layuan mo yan ba+a pa yan.”

As the night went on, everyone got wasted. Laughing, dancing, jumping in the pool. I stayed only lightly tipsy as I was being careful. The other girl (let’s call her K) was in full party mode, sitting on laps, flirting hard, whispering to guys.

Eventually, Ate Jane and I crashed on the living room sofa while the drunk guys passed out everywhere, some in rooms, some by the pool.

Around 4 AM, I woke up needing to pee. The resort was quiet except for crickets and faint music. As I walked to the shower room near the pool, I heard noises. Moans, heavy breathing, skin slapping. Curiosity got me. I peeked through the slightly open door.

There was K getting fucked by two of our teammates. One guy was behind her, gripping her hips, thrusting hard and deep while she moaned. The other was in front, her mouth working him sloppily, wet sounds echoing off the tiles. It was dark, a little light came through the window, but I could see her breasts bouncing with every thrust. The guys were grunting, totally lost in it.

I froze, heart pounding but also couldn’t look away. What happened next got even crazier. Did I get pulled into the mess? You’ll have to tell me if you want the rest! 🔥
