Forum Update: Managing Increased Server Load

Dear nsfwPH users,

Thank you for your continued engagement and enthusiasm! Due to a significant increase in user activity, our servers are nearing capacity. To maintain a smooth and cost-effective experience without upgrading to a more expensive server, we are implementing the following temporary changes to reduce server load:

1. Push notifications are disabled to reduce server strain. Stay updated by checking your forum alerts manually.
2. Post-reaction alert is disabled; account preferences will reset every 1st of the month.
3. Real-time updates of threads, conversations, and alerts are disabled.
4. User account deletion: Manual account deletion is temporarily removed. Instead, accounts with zero posts and inactive for one year will be automatically deleted.
5. Direct Message (DM) pruning: DMs with no reply for a year will be automatically deleted to free up database server space.

Additionally, minor resource-intensive features may be adjusted to ensure optimal performance.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to maintain a high-quality experience.

Thanks for the update! I understand the need to disable some features to reduce server load.


Cleaning up inactive accounts and old DMs makes sense to improve performance.

Out of 26k+ na logged in users daily (di kasama ang guest), maximum of 2k lang naman dyan ang established and up ang account

Affected ng kunti.

Kapag nag stabilize na ang server maybe i-revert ko din yan.

bat mo nadisable ang manual account deletion? hindi po ba mas helpful na sila na po magdelete ng acct nila kasi mabawasan ang server load? less hassle din po sa admins hehe. thanks po

May extra feature kasi yun na nag-contribute din ng additional stress sa backend.
Kaya, it's much better to do it manual nalang.
